Swimming NZ's Head of Participation & Events, Dale Johnson, is thrilled by the diversity of experience on the new committee.
We think the new committee has an excellent blend of experience. Within the committee we have some with a strong background in Open Water and Para Swimming, as well a mixture of international and domestic experience alongside some officials who are just starting out in the sport. We are committed to improving our support for officials through development and pathways, whilst also looking at ways to attract the next wave of officials, and we believe this committee will assist us on this journey.
Whilst these eight people have been appointed for the three-year term, there may be others who are called upon to provide support and feedback on the journey. It will take a collective approach to enhancing the experience for everyone.
Please feel free to contact SNZ's Technical Official & Volunteer Development Lead, Carlrine Gillespie, via email to officials@swimming.org.nz if you have any suggestions or questions.
