Following some excellent recommendations from the wider coaching community, we have welcomed 7 coaches into the working group. Thank you to the 44 coaches who provided their recommendations of who they would like to represent them.

Swimming NZ's Head of Participation & Events, Dale Johnson, is looking forward to getting the review underway.

"This next 4-year review has come at a great time for the sport, as we have had some learnings over the past few years and have the opportunity to continue moving swimming forward. We have a great range of experience in the working group, so it promises to be an exciting few months working together."

Johnson also encouraged everyone to play their role in the Competition Review when we seek community feedback on the proposed recommendations over the coming months.

"For those not in the working group, please keep an eye out for the opportunity for community feedback on the proposed recommendations toward the end of 2023 and start of 2024. Receiving community feedback will be crucial in helping us to improve the delivery of our sport."

The working group will be meeting over the next few months, with the final recommendations to be presented to the Swimming NZ Board in May 2024.
